I remember Robert on his first backhoe at Amoco, Wilimar Field. He dug a ditch and layed a water line from our neighbors water well to our house on Hwy. 186; so we could have well water for our home.
We lived in Raymondville from 1966 to 1971.
Robert was and will be remembered,
Rosie, Thinking of you and your family,
Kris and Betty Andersen

Mr. Robert Hommel you will always be remembered as a great Father and a great Friend. You took me in and helped me in my worst of times. You were there for me like the father I never had. You always had a kind word to say. Your sense of humor would catch me off guard at times. I could never tell when you were being serious or wanting to tear into me. Without fail you were always there to cheer on your sons at their sporting events. I always looked in your direction when we hit a big shot in a game and you always showed your approval which meant the world to me. I was never good at writing or expressing my feelings but the bottom line is I will always Love you.

Grandpa, you were a great guy and always fun to be around. You enjoyed all the things that we liked and it was always a great time visiting you. Thanks for everything.

Rest in peace,
Your grandson Brian
