Just a note to extend my condolences to Van's family and friends. I thoroughly enjoyed his pictures, Battleground being my favorite. Now he knows no aches nor pain and is forever young.

I will always rem. how truly kind Van Johnson was to me at our Luncheon Date on: Feb. 11, 1977. He treated me as he would have treated royalty. Van was MGM ROYALTY and forever will be in my heart. Goodbye sweet Angel, till we meet again in Paradise.

I had the priveledge of working with Van Johnson on "Anything Goes" at Casa Manana theatre in Ft Worth, TX. I was production Assistant at the time and remember sitting in the seats with him during rehearsals as he regailed all the stories of Old Hollywood. It was my most favorite time there. What a wonderful man who LOVED to make everyone smile.

Van Johnson was always a favorite actor of mine. If I was aware of one of his movies coming on TV, I would watch it. My favorite is "In the Good Old Summertime". I never saw more believable acting. He was genuine and my heart melted with some of his lines. He will be missed.

My most sincere sympathy and prayers for the friends and family of this fine actor. I will always remember him this time of year, because as a kids we always watched The Pied Piper of Hamlin with him in the lead role. Though its a film that is often overlooked, it showed how versatile he was at his craft. God Bless him and those around him.
