Dear Coke, Naomi, Ken, and Tracey,

Our family was very sorry to hear of the passing of Rusty, a dedicated husband and father.

We remember Rusty as a proud Kigoo swim club parent, who generously opened up his Garden City Home and swimming pool to large gatherings of swimmers soon to be dispatched to the Provincials nearly every August.

We are very sorry for your loss, but celebrate his life along with the many happy memories we have of the Richmond Swim Club. Those were very special and memorable years.

Our Deepest Sympathies Coke & Family,
It is with the fondest of memories I reflect back to our Coombs days where we spent each and every summer holiday with the Ward Family and looked so forward to it!! I remember how excited we were when you and Rusty married Coke, that was HUGE for us way back when. I know when the tears subside, smiles will lighten your hearts as you reflect on all the memories you will cherish forever! Rusty touched the lives of so many, mine included and he will live on in our hearts always. Our hearts and thoughts are with you all.

Rusty gave me my first job in 1976 pumping gas at the broadway esso station . I was 16 and had no experience . But he took a chance on me. Over the next four years I learned many things and had many laughs . Rusty was a great boss . Years later I thought of him and that station often . . So sad to hear of his passing while traveling in Japan . If there's a heaven, god has a great mechanic
And good man.
