Lauren,
I will never have the proper words to express my deep regrets for Blake's passing. I had the good fortune of meeting both of you when you first came to B.C. as colleagues and had countless interactions with Blake due to our Union/Management relationship over a few decades. He had a significant impact on all employees because he was a kind and fair individual. While most of our interaction was in Vancouver, I also had the opportunity to spend time with Blake in Ottawa, Rigaud and airports on a number of occasions. Most of the time not talking business but our other interests and enjoying our mutual sense of humour. He was a very special person and I think about him very often since his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Blake earned the respect of many officers and members of the Canada Border Services. He was easy to approach and talk to, he was a listener and he was a leader. My thoughts are with his wife, son and family. He shall not be forgotten.

Dear Lauren, Mike, and Family,

We were very much saddened to hear of your tragic loss. My respect for Blake as a leader and as a person runs deep. His service to Canada and the CBSA was truly exemplary throughout his long and successful career. It was a true honour and privilege to have worked with Blake in the Pacific Region. Jullia and I send you our deepest sympathies and will always remember Blake fondly. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Offering our sincerest and heartfelt condolences at the loss of an incredible man. We were so proud of all the work you & Blake had all done to rally him back from his recent stroke. We feel blessed for having had the opportunity to get know him and have so many fond memories of time spent in your homes as well as at Barb & Cam's. Sending you love and peace as you embark on your grief journey. Blake will be greatly missed and has left an amazing legacy! Sheilagh & Rainer xoxo

Dear Lauren and Michael,

Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Blake and I arrived in Field Liaison at the same time and both Lisette and I worked with him. Blake and I were colleagues for over 25 years and we sat at the same Customs and CBSA management table. Blake was always innovative, willing to try new things in the Pacific Region and a good leader. I have many fond memories of our time together. Lauren and Michael, sincerest sympathies, our prayers and thoughts are with you.
