Sadly, on Dec. 24 after a short battle with cancer papa passed away with his children at his bedside.He joined gramma for their first Christmas together in 19 years.Dad leaves behind Larry(Karen) Linda(Gord) Verna(Adrian) Becky (Jim) Bobbie(Peter)11 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Loving brother to Eleanor ,Marion, Ralph,Wayne(Sharon) and Marje (deceased) he was and always will be the gentle man who cared deeply for family and friends. Long time resident of Burnaby, Darryl arrived from Northern Saskatchewan as a young boy.He worked many jobs throughout his life including 42+ years at Scott Paper in New Westminster where he also played ball and hockey for many years.Papa will be remembered for his love of sports, bar fishing camping,his infinite stories about his life and for teaching us many memorable lessons.Please join us for a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1 - 5 at his home.Come share stories, memories, tears and laughter with us. As dad would never say "good bye", we say "Toot a loo"..until we meet again. In lieu of flowers donation to the B.C. Cancer Foundation are appreciated.
