A beautiful boy I met at age 13 through realtives. We lunched at Deep Cove Chalet and we sang as well in my uncle`s car..We seemed to dance in and out of eachother`s lives for so long..I fell for you and have truly never forgotten that sweet, handsome lovely boy of my youth..Memories are all I have now dear Ed..I spoke to your sweet Mum some years ago and we shared some thoughts.I lived nearby in Oak Bay...
Dear Ed you shall always be my first special love..how sad I am..May God Bless and keep you sweet, gentle Edmond.

Dear Ed - As you could no doubt recall, old boot, I've got a memory like an elephant, and I remember well, as far back as our pillow fights (aged 9-ish) at TCS, when the feathers flew - and how, when the pillows didn't pack enough wallop, we would resort to jugs of water instead. And I remember standing next to you in junior school and learning the words to "Killarney" for some school concert (I'm sure we were starred; from that day on you never stopped singing) - all words drummed into us so well at the time, I can remember them to this day. We wrote one another now and then over the years, you in one obscure corner of the world while I was in another - and it always seemed to me like one of those reel dances where everyone goes round-and-round and bumpity-bump - till we finally come face-to-face again - and it was always laughter and one heck of a lot of fun. Seventy-three years you were my friend, my best buddy. I'm not entirely sure where you've disappeared to this time, Ed, but I'm sure it's a good place and an adventure (otherwise you would not have gone there) - that you'll tell me all about it when my turn comes along, and we'll indulge once more in green eggs scrambled. I was honoured to know you as I did, and I am convinced whatever we make of what we have here, it's only a means of revving our engines before the real race begins. God bless you, dear, dear friend.
