Hi Dad,
Tana and I were out to visit you and Mom last week for Easter. We think about you all the time. We hope you and Mom are happy and resting.
January-03-14
My condolences to the Dagg family. I had the pleasure to be associated with Frank in 1981-82 when he was our coach on the Port Coquitlam Blues Jr. Hockey Team.
Having just come over as a teenager from Finland, I was lucky to run into Frank almost immediately. Two good men, Frank and Doug McIntosh took me under their wing. It is easy to join those who say he was the best hockey coach they ever had.
I will always remain grateful for everything Frank did for me, on and off the ice. Lots of great memories that will never be forgotten. Hockey lessons that will be passed on. Rest in peace, coach.

Our deepest sympathy to Bev,Gerry,Frankie,Glenn, Danny and family on the passing of Frank.

My Friend: Frank and I worked for ESCO Ltd. at the Pt.Coquitlam plant for many years becoming close friends. Frank was a good supervisor, he rarely saw problems only solutions. Frank became a Sr supervisor at our Pt Hope Ontario plant.
Frank's passion was sports. Hockey was at the core of that passion. He played, coached and watched other sports but hockey was where he wanted to be. Frank and I started two hockey teams. One team in 1964-65 in the Coquitlam Commercial Hockey League winning championship. In 1969-70 we enterered the Garibaldi Sr. Hockey League ending third place, loosing in the playoffs.
We remained friends over the years and kept in touch. God Bless you Frank.

Frank you were the best coach I ever had! I will never forget driving to so many tournaments with you and Dan and Bev You were the one who told me to come to hockey practice without my goalie gear because I was supposed to be the best skater on the ice You were so right The only thing I beat you at was eating the 24 ounce steak at the Old Country Kitchen in Portland And then we won the game later that nite You will be missed but we will meet again! I am sad to hear about Frank's passing as he was an exceptional person and coach I learned so much from Frank I remember Frank telling me to come to hockey practice without my goal tending gear and he made me skate my bag off! His reasoning was Goaltenders are supposed to be the strongest skaters on the team and he was so right! The only thing I beat you at was the bet that I could eat the 24 ounce steak at the OLD COUNTRY KITCHEN in Portland and I got 5 bucks off ya!and then we won the game shortly after that! I will see ya again coach!RIP PEA SOUP

I had the honour of assisting Frank for a few years as he coached a Rep. team from Port Coquitlam where his younest son Dan and my son Rene played. Frank was "tough as nails" and was able to develope each player to the maximum of thier potential. He was respected by all who played for him...
RIP, Frank
