Helen , I think of you everyday , I miss your laughter and your positive spirit. You always had a cheerful way of brightening a day. Every time I pass by the little jewelry store in the mall I think of how much you loved all the finer things. I will miss you much - aloha for now ((((Your forever friend
My name is Lillian Lum, and I came to know Helen in early 2012. I had seen her around at the mall (2011) and everytime our eyes connected, we would smile at each other. I could tell she was a lively individual. We started to chat every once in a while, in passing. What a beautiful soul to be sharing all her positive energy and glowing smile. I did not know Helen was battling cancer until summer. I last saw her when I was with my children, November/December. I only found out yesterday that Helen had passed. Please accept my condolences, family and friends. Helen was a treasure. May God strengthen you and help you in this time of sorrow.
Deepest Sympathies to Helen's family. Helen was a beautiful person both inside and out who showed her caring with her penetrating smile and contagious laughter. Her joyful disposition is missed by all who knew her. May god keep her safe.
Helen, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. After meeting at the gym we hit it off like we had known each other for years. I will cherish all the time we spent together, your patience and advise you gave me along the way. You were always smiling and ready to hear all my crazy stories. I will miss you forever Thank You for being my best friend.
You are a woman who took on your disease with the same dignity and sense of humor you used for everything. Through the entire battle, you never lost who you were or the qualities everyone loved you for. Your family and friends were always your first priority and this disease only strenghened those bonds. You always faced each day with the delicate balance of living life to the fullest in case your days were limited and yet planning and doing things that made it seem to the rest of us that your life would go on for years. You kept your difficult days to yourself and still always shared the best of yourself with all of us. You will be missed. You brought a little bit of Hawaiian sunshine into all our lives.
You have a special place in my heart. You were such a positive influenced in my life. You inspired me. Your generosity and wisdom are unparalleled. Your smile so contagious. I will miss you. Thank you for being my friend and such a good person. Your family is proud of you. It is so sad to see you go so early in life. My most sincere condolences to your family and love ones. Jiggy
Dearest Friend Helen: We will miss you so much; have never known a friend so full of the joy of life, never without a smile and a positive comment. I will miss our chats, your advice and just being your friend. Have never been to Hawaii but have seen it through your eyes. You will live always in the hearts of your family and friends and weren't we so lucky to have known you. Love Cathy & Paul xo
It was always so nice to have a chat with you at work and take a mental holiday from all the stress while we talked about Hawaii and chatted about what was happening day to day. I will always remember your little piece of the islands you kept at work (build a bear island complete with a palm tree) =). I have missed your humour, smile & laugh since seeing you last. Rest in peace Helen. My deepest sympathies to your family.
Helen, you were one of first people to take me under your wing when I started my new job five years ago. I will always remember you for your infectious smile. For those who read this message, I encourage you to listen to "Over the Rainbow" as sung by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. I happened to hear it this weekend and it brought tears to my eyes, as the song reminded me of all that is beautiful about Helen and Hawaii.
To Helen's family, my heart goes out to you after this long battle. The only good news is that she is with George again and we all know whenever she spoke of him she lit up. As a customer she was always smiling and kind and made me glad I had spent time with her. God speed Helen.

Helen i will miss seeing you every morning at the Bay Lougheed you were not just a customer but a great friend.
I met Helen a number of years ago when I managed the gym she attended. She had such a passion for life and was always so encouraging and helpful as I took on a new role with new challenges. She told such wonderful stories of Hawaii and insisted I go one day and told me all the "hot spots" that a young girl should go to. Rest in peace Helen, I will definitely think of you when I make it to Hawaii in April.
I will miss Helen so much. She was such a positive person. She always talked about her family and had tons of friends. Such a wonderful lady that I will not forget.
I met you years ago from just being a loyal customer of mine at the Bay.... We became fast friends and then had a friend for life... I will miss our talks for just a quick minute which turned into an hour sometimes.... You will always be in my heart and I will never forget your kind soul and beautiful smiling face.... Heaven got a good one!!!!! Miss you always Karen Vianzon (The Bay Lougheed)
Dear Lim Family:I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. I first met Helen when we were both on the track and field team at Killarney. We spent many hours in the weight room and out on the field throwing the shot puts and discus. Helen was such a wonderful person to hang out with. Even though the last time I saw Helen was at Jenny's wedding, I still remember the good times we shared many years ago.
Please take care of yourselves and know my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Helen, I miss your laugh and your sense of humour. It was a pleasure to knowing you and sure you will be missed by everyone at the office. I will light up a candle for you.
Helen, I have lit a candle in the forest by the stream to honour you and our friendship of forty years. Love, Marilyn
