My deepest condolences to the Rotella family, who were so blessed to have such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend in Nick.
I have many memories of the laughter and fun times that just seemed to happen around Nick. I was happy to hear that he enjoyed his time in White Lake and in his garden. He will be missed.
I have attached a photo of Nick, Nando, and my father Fausto (passed in January of 1995), of course, that guy with all the hair is me (Tony) at about 16 years of age – this photo was taken around 1977. I still remember laughing to tears when Nando shaved his head over a bet – got to tip my hat to Nando for having the courage to shave his head at a time when it was pretty much unheard of. Anyway, I do remember that day even now 35 or so years later. Although I saw Nick once in a while when he was on the Drive it was always nice to say hi and chat. As the years go by and with the passing of my own father who was one of Nick's hunting partners, I must say I treasure the past more and more. It was with extreme sadness that I heard of Nick's sudden diagnosis and passing. My mother, Sylviane, has kept me current and I know it was with a heavy heart that she finally told me Nick had left this world. I must say that Nick has left behind a wonderful family as well as a large number of loyal friends so I leave this note with a cathartic laugh, a saddened heart and a joyful farewell! Ciao.
Dear Evelyn and family, Ray and I are so very sorry for your loss. We will always remember the great times we had with Nick up at White Lake. Fishing with Ray and playing crib with me are memories we will cherish. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Sincerely Ray and Gayle Lefteruk
To Evelyn and family I Offer My Deepest Condelences and may The Lord Bless and Keep Him In Peace. A Friend Of Nicks
Dear Evelyn. We offer our deepest condelences and send our love and strength to you and your family at this most difficult time. We hope to see you Tony and the boys soon. xo
He always had a smile on his face, and always put a smile on my face. He trully was someone with a big heart.
He is in a better place now, and I'm sure, he's smilling down on us at this very moment, filling our worlds with love, as he did when he was a alive.

Nico - Our Godfather will always be in our hearts.
Best to the Rotella Family.
A little poem
Friendship --- The Greatest Gift!
Sometimes from family
Sometimes from outside
A few true friendships
Come to us - inside
We are the companions
Who wants to see, within our hearts
The good and the bad
Which we all have
We listen, we laugh
We help with the sad
We are special together
Distance cannot take from us
No one can stand between us
We make the memories
The greatest gift
That we can give each other, Is time
The time we spend together
Is well spent
Thank you for being part of my world
