Gary and I met on an SAP project in the UK, and we quickly became friends. He witnessed my marriage to Jon (his friend from ages ago) and, every now and again, Gary would pop back into our lives.
Although we didn't see Gary often, it was always a flurry of humour and activities whenever he was around. We loved his easy-going company, quick wit, kindness, and good humour.
I'll miss Gary's enormous, booming laugh. He had the most expressive laugh imaginable, and, like Gary's warm personality, it filled every room.
The world will, unfortunately, be a lot quieter – they don't make many like Gary. I feel very lucky that he was my friend, and I already miss him terribly.
