The whole forestry community knew and liked Grant. I certainly did. He'll be missed for his wit, wisdom, generosity, and cheerfulness.
It is very difficult to select the proper words to use in saying "farewell" to a wonderful friend and associate. Grant was the kindest and most considerate individual that anyone could wish to have in a friend and he never failed in remaining loyal and faithful to all his friends.
My wife, Helen, and I thoroughly enjoyed the visits and friendships we shared with Jacquie and Grant and I have dozens of humourous incidents to recall from our fishing trips down the Alberni Inlet. We were both "Lethbridge boys" and we spent a lot of time swapping stories about our home town and mutual friends. I will miss the telephone calls and discussions we had since we both retired but, luckily, I have so many pleasant memories of our association to fill the empty feeling of losing our friend.
Please allow us to extend condolences to the family as well as his many, many friends.

RIP Grant. I met him at the O'Keefe where I was living with my late husband Ron. They became great friends - Ron received two huge cigars from Grant, though he never could pluck up the courage to smoke them !!!
