My condolences to the family of Hans Finken. He was a good friend of mine with whom I spent lots of time over the years. We met at a photography course and did lots of things together - fixed up his Mayne Island cabin, rode bikes, talked business, treated my Son and I to BC Lions football games. Sitting next to him you got play-by-play far beyond what any broadcaster could do. My family and I sure will miss our good friend, Hans.

Oh Lisa, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad, but your fondness and love always shone through when you spoke of him. Forever in your heart! Hugs my friend, Linda

Hans tremendously helped me relocating in Vancouver and gave me sound advice. I am happy that he was able to witness the conversion of the CP Arbutus line into the Arbutus Greenway.

I had the pleasure of working with Hans over the past year. He was someone that had a lot of passion for his work and put in a tremendous amount of time with our team on Arbutus. He will be sadly missed.

I have had a wonderful opportunity to interact with Hans when the Arbutus Greenway was under construction. He was very supportive and vocal about the project. He was at every public engagement event and always ready to talk about Arbutus Greenway.
We will miss him and my sincere condolences to the family and close friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Hans on the ARKS committee. He devoted so much time and effort to the Arbutus Greenway. I was so glad to see him recognized for his efforts by the city of Vancouver at the Arbutus Champions workshop. My condolences, Kathy

I will be missing Hans, my father-in-law. We liked to chat on the phone about football naturally and all kind of subjects about his projects (the Arbutus Greenway for sure was one of them). If he was coming to Montreal during the football season by coincidence it was always when the BC Lions were playing in Montreal. During his last visit in Montreal he brought BC Lions hats for me and Lisa to wear for the game, but it didn't help the Lions because the Alouettes won.
He was always eager to offer his guidance, even during his last week at a point he was very weak.

I am adding some pictures I took of him
Bon voyage Hans.
