Mr Skidmore was my Gr 3 teacher at Morley School in Bby, 1968 - and when I think back on all the teachers I ever had through, his name is at the top of the list. Funny, caring, smart, and a real inspiration to Gr 3 kids. Helped instill enthusiasm for learning in everyone. Forty-five years later I still remember some of his jokes. My condolences to his close friends and family.

So many memories over our life time. We had such good times together. So much laughter and love. God Father to my Daughters and Brother and Friend to me. Jim and I will never forget all the our great times together. Love you Harold. We were all truly blessed by knowing you.

I worked with Harold at Douglas Road Elementary for 3 years back in the 80's. We sure had a lot of laughs. Harold's sense of humor and good nature will be greatly missed. Unfortunately, I am out of town and will be unable to attend the service.

I have many fond memories of growing up next door to Harold on Ruby Street. Harold was a good friend to our family over the years, sharing many days of laughter and friendship. Harold was always a welcome sight coming in through the back gate with his favorite drink in hand to visit my Mom and Jack. He was always ready to share the many funny stories from school, causing great laughter around the table as the poker or other card games would often be underway. I treasure the fun times we all shared and yet I remember too, the long hours he patiently tutored me in Algebra….maybe not so much fun, but a true indication of the giving, caring person that he was. Rest in Peace my old friend till we meet again.

We are so sorry to hear of Harold's passing he will be truly missed. Larry & I considered him a brother. Harold & I grew up together had many laughs & good times too many to go into. We didn't see a lot of each other the last few years but always kept in touch. He was a good man, brother & friend. Loved him Marlene & Larry Bevan
