Dear Mary, I just heard of Jake's passing and was saddened that I didn't know earlier and have the opportunity to express my condolences. Jake has left an imprint on the lives of many. I will always remember him with a few candies in his pocket to give to the kiddies - mine included. Jake was a great example of a godly man whose faith was apparent and authentic. I pray for God's presence with you as you walk through this difficult time.

Dear Aunty Mary and family - I am so sorry Bentley and I were unable to make it. Bentley tried so hard to figure something out but we just couldn't pull it together. Uncle Jake has always been one of our favourite uncles. He was such a loving, kind and wonderful man. We have so many fantastic memories of him. We pray for peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

I was privileged to have met Jake when volunteering at Gleaners. I will always remember his joy and love of life, together with his humour and laughter, which was infectious. My special memories are of Jake scooting around the tables at coffee break, singing for and sneaking extra servings of platz; and how energetic and hard-working he was, moving the produce around with his blue plastic shovel. It made us want to work even harder to try and keep up with him, while having so much fun at the same time! Jake was a sweet, kind man, and the world is a better place for him having been in it. Sincerest sympathy to his family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Mary and children, grandchildren and now little Jake. I was so blessed by the celebration of life today and the sharing by all of your family. It was wonderful to know that every word that was shared about you was absolutely true. You were such an example of what it looks like to live your life "in HIM". I know you will be continuing your prayer ministry for your family from your new vantage seat in Heaven. Much heartfelt love for your family at this challenging time of learning to live without your presence. Many blessings, Janet Plumb (Wilson)

One of those persons whose light shines on you even before he reaches you. We are lucky to have had his radiance in our lives. A true gift from God to family, friends and strangers alike. His body has moved on, but his presence will be constant in our lives.

My condolences to Mary and family, Jake was a wonderful, kind, caring man. I have many fond memories of bible studies at his place and worshiping together at church on Sundays. He will be missed. I am sorry I won't be able to attend the memorial as I am out of town. May the Lord fill you with peace and comfort you in your grief. xo

We will miss you dearly Jake and our hearts weep for your beautiful family. Your legacy of integrity, devotion to family and your strong encouraging faith will live on in the spirit of the family you raised and the grandchildren you modeled for. To know Carmen for 22 is to know you and the incredible job you and Mary did raising one of my very dearest friends. Love, prayers and our deepest sympathy to your precious family. xoxo
