The figure skating community will dearly miss Bob who I met at Minneapolis Worlds in 1998. I teased him unmercifully about his generosity to the Japanese women we met there, and he was a fiercely loyal supporter of all our Canadian Skaters. All my skating pals met and got to know Bob as he supplied us with all the latest skating news and updates. Bob purchased tickets for my mother and I for the Vancouver Worlds in 2001 and organized a great brunch with fellow international skating fans at the Bloedel conservatory overlooking Queen Elizabeth park, it was memorable experience. I was in Vancouver this past week for the Grand Prix Final and when I didn't see Bob I was concerned as he had not responded to my emails.
I will miss our skating friendship, his giggle and of course his skating coat! I too will miss his Xmas decorations, as I did see them one year when I was in Vancouver. I will try and find that picture of our brunch but for now it escapes me. My sincere sympathies to Bob's family.

South Vancouver and, Selkirk Avenue, will never be the same around Christmas time without Bob's hugely magical collection of lights. Personally, I will miss shooting with Bob and see all his great photographs and genuine enthusiasm for photography and the environment. You are missed, mate.

Rest in Peace Bob.
You will be sincerely missed, my condolences to your family and loved ones.
