As a student in her class I always looked forward to the wonderful way in which she could instill excitement and knowledge in her lesson plans. Kimberley was blessed to have had this marvellous lady as an educator and community leader. My condolences to the family. She was quite the lady! I had no idea about her early years.

I will never forget her sitting on her desk, telling stories and animating the history of England. And, then there were the geraniums...

My sincere condolences to your family. I was lucky enough to have had Mrs. Sterling as a homeroom teacher as well as for English and Social Studies. She brought Henry V111 and his wives to life and underlined the many power struggles various factions went through to claim the throne. I loved her classes - they always seemed more like stories than schoolwork. I also remember the geraniums she had on her windowsills to remind her of the Mediterranean. Rest in peace knowing you educated many young minds Mrs. Sterling

An amazing teacher with so very interesting historical stories to tell us each class. After I had finished university she told me of an underground city in Turkey that she spent time helping to dig out which inspired my own visit to that wondrous place. She and Andy were treasured friends of my parents and they enjoyed many happy times together. So glad to have had her in my life! Joan Davis

I had Mrs. Stirling when I was at McKim. I enjoyed her classes. Rest in Peace Mrs. Stirling. Thank you for all the knowledge and great stories that you shared.

Oh Mrs. Stirling was the quintessential Social Studies teacher who had a passion for her subject and tried to pass it on to her (sometimes unappreciative junior high) students - she had such integrity as an educator...and she will live on in our memories!

Mrs Stirling taught me at McKim Junior Secondary in the mid sixties. She absolutely had the class in raptures listening to her stories about British History through the ages. I developed a keen interest in British History which continues to this day

Thank-you for publishing the well-written obituary in The Kimberley Bulletin. It captured the characteristics of the amazing Mrs. Stirling, the teacher that I so admired when I was her student at McKim High School. Her lively lessons kept us enthralled, and promoted Lifelong Learning, beyond the textbook. She was always 100% prepared, and approached her pupils in a cheery way, elevating Language and Scholarship. I am ever-grateful for Mrs. Stirling. we will undoubtedly share memories of her and our many Super Educators at our Grad Reunion (1958) when we meet in July, 2918, for our 60th Anniversary of High School Graduation.(Davene Herman Bird)
