I am saddened to hear of Maureen (Mo's) passing. I had the privilege to work with her in the bargaining department and appreciated her advice and suppoet when she became my assistant. Humorous to a fault, dedicated to the workers, never at a loss for a witty comment and a very creative negotiator. My thoughts will be with all of you tomorrow.

Maureen and I crossed paths primarily through NDP activism but also through being labour lawyers who shared the odd file. She was one of the warmest most empathetic women I knew and her death is such a loss to so many.Conni Kilfoil

Mo Headley was a great person to work with. She was fair, thoughtful, and collaborative. As a person she was considerate and kind. Her dedication to her daughter was inspiring. Very sad to hear she has passed on.

Always thinking, always caring for colleagues, workers and friends, Maureen set the bar high and no challenge went unmet. I worked with her at the BCGEU and tremendously respected her and loved her humour and language. So sorry for her friends and family. Sadly, I'm out of the country and cannot attend the service but will be thinking of her with happy memories.

Maureen and started our work with the BCGEU
in February 1975.

She was a fearless and valued co-worker and I shall miss her.

We are poorer for her passing.

Very sorry to hear this news. I had the privilege of serving on the Board of HSA for nine years, overlapping Maureen for most of that time. Maureen's reports on negotiations and other labour relations issues were always a highlight, incisive, droll, and, as anyone who knew her would know, containing a few F-bombs thrown in for emphasis and plain old fun. I loved working with her, and listening to her. She was SO SMART!! This is sad news. I am sorry I am out of the country and unable to join you for her memorial. I remember her very fondly. Maureen Headley-fantastic person and super colleague. Played a key role in the team that built the BCGEU. May she rest in peace! Workers everywhere will miss her. Condolences to Emma

I"m so sorry to hear this news. I met Maureen many years ago when Emma came into her life. I was her nanny for a few months and got to know Emma and Maureen and I remember it as a special time. It was clear that Maureen loved Emma and it is wonderful that they were able to have such a loving relationship, these many years. I was always impressed with Maureen's commitment to making this a better world. May she rest in peace.

To the family, I am so very sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She was my bosses at the BCGEU for a while and she was a caring and honest and compassionate person to me. Such a great sense of humour and always ready to create havoc. I respected her a lot. My heart goes out to her family, especially Emma.

I have many wonderful memories of Maureen, mostly her sense of humour and fairness. I am proud to have known her and will miss her presence.
