I had the honor and pleasure of playing bridge with Noney, with mom's bridge group, over the past 15 years. Initially intimidated to play with such an experienced player, Noney quickly removed any trepidation with her quick smile, funny sense of humour and never ending patience. Memories that I will always cherish. Sincere condolences to the family.

There were 5 of us. We met in church when we were in our teens. Sue, Diana, Noney, Ellie and myself. I also lived with Noney when we were in grade 11 and went to MEI in Abbotsford. We travelled back to our homes in Vancouver every weekend.Even though we lived far apart for many years after that, it was always easy to pick up where we left off. Now there are just two of our group left. Noney was a friend who always warmed our hearts with her cheery ways and upbeat attitude. Praying for the family.

I had the privilege of living with Art and Noney for a semester while attending Regent College in the mid 1990s. I will always remember how Noney made me feel cared for and welcomed into their home and into their lives. She was a very special lady with a big heart and a twinkle in her eye.

Noney was my very first friend when we were both brand new students in our MEI high school. She remained my friend till the end. She was wonderful. My heartfelt condolences to Art and the family. May the God of all comfort, comfort and bless you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Noney through my mom's bridge club and was always struck by her positive spirit despite her health challenges, her beautiful smile and her extreme patience and willingness to teach a novice the finer points of the game. She will be missed and fondly remembered.
