My sincere condolences to the Whitcutt Family.
Ollie was a much loved Vancouver teacher and I was fortunate to be mentored by her when I became her student teacher. Ollie truly shaped my educator life in so many positive ways and I am forever grateful to have shared her classroom and friendship. We continued to stay in touch and I enjoyed being invited to many early Xmas dinners. We all loved hearing about her travels through her dynamic stories - she was always on the go!
Her energy, enthusiasm, humour, wisdom and caring ethic were always present. She made a difference for so many of her students and colleagues. Her dedication to the Arts as a music teacher and organizer was outstanding. Ollie was an exceptional teacher and loyal friend and she will be dearly missed.

I met Ollie a number of times, but my mother and her friends knew her best. I saw Ollie last in early december 2017, what a great life. My condolences to the family.

Ollie befriended my father Samuel Ho at a very difficult time in his life -- he had just lost my mother and thought that taking up bridge might assuage his loneliness and introduce him to new friends. He could never have guessed how big a part of his life Ollie would become for the next 8 years of his life. Ollie was a vibrant, funny, and deeply kind and thoughtful person...I will always be grateful for the friendship she extended to my father and to our entire family. Thank you Ollie, I will never forget you and I can only hope that my life will be not just as long but as well-lived as yours.
