It is with sadness that we announce the passing on February 27, 2018, in Vancouver, BC, of husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and friend, Edward Ayley. Born in Vancouver on October 9, 1935 to parents Marjorie and Ted, Edward enjoyed fishing, gardening, travel, golf, and was an avid reader. He also had a deep love for his dogs, lasting his lifetime. Edward spent 40 years working at Vancouver ports as a longshoreman. Predeceased by his sister, Hazel, he is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marlene; brother, Tom (Joanne); sons, Mark (Anne), Dave (Jacqui) and Todd (Heather); grandchildren, Vanessa (Steve), Alexandra; and great-granddaughter, Annabel. A celebration of his life is planned for May 26, 2018. In lieu of flowers please plant a "petunia". Condolences may be sent to www.mapleridgefuneral.ca.
