Love you and miss you my dear Uncle Bob. You always brought such lightness and laughter (and contagious laughter at that!) to our family get-togethers over the years. Reading these messages here are very like those left for my mom. Such amazing siblings the two of you - both with a passion for education and learning that touched so many lives. I imagine a joyously loud family dinner 'up above' now you are there too. As you always brought for us, we will carry on with our families and friends, bringing laughter, joy and love. Always.

I will always be grateful to Bob King for giving me my first job as a teacher at Magee Secondary School back in 1992. He did his best to see that I was happy, and when my contract ended, he did his best to see I was hired back the following year. I've been at Magee for 21 years now, and I always think of Bob with good memories.

It was with sadness that I read that Mr King had passed away. He was one of the few positive teachers/administrators that I came across during my high school years. He truly made a difference in my school experience as he genuinely cared about his students.

My sincerest condolences to Dianne, David and Alison and the rest of the family. Having grown up next door to Mr. King and family each summer at Cultus Lake, I have only the fondest memories. Mostly involving trampolines and Regatta :) Mr. King was an active and fun parent and no doubt a fantastic grandpa too.

It is with great sadness that I read in today's Province about the passing of Mr. King - who in my opinion was the best Vice Principal Killarney High School ever had. Always a big smile - always approachable and always willing to listen and give advice. You could trust him & talk with him and he treated you like a human being. You could tell he really cared. He wasn't just caring because he had to - he wanted to. He helped many a teenager through the trials & tribulations of being a teen and would listen when no one else would. He made a difference and this is a wonderful legacy to leave. We have talked about him through out the years - how great he was & I know this doesn't happen with many Teachers or Principals. If you make a positive difference in someone's life & you believe in them ...this will follow them and be within them always. Thanks Mr. King for everything. You will be missed by many Bob King.
