Sid reached a lot of people with his temple tours and obvious rapport with many different kinds of people. I went on a tour with him through temples in Richmond with my Global Issues club in the 90s, so interesting. Condolences to the family, you must miss him.
rest in peace, colleague.

My condolences to the Bentley family. Sid's work with world religions and teaching respect and commonality among his fellow man will forever be etched in the minds of my students. Sid and I worked together on various filed trips and experiences for kids for the past 10 years and we always enjoyed his stories and the way he made the faiths come alive to us. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered.

A passionate educator who gave of himself generously to everyone he met.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Bentley's passing. I was a student at William Beagle and took Social Studies and World Religions in particular from him. He was a great teacher, and I remember his gentle way of opening our minds to the world beyond our own homes. He also inspired me to facilitate/teach a class on world religions in my own congregation, many years ago now. Thank you Mr. Bentley!

Sid was my teacher of multiple years and courses, and then a personal friend of my family's as we summered at Watcom Lake over the years. He was kind, sincere and compassionate. His gentle understanding and encouragement played a large role in my education and he made a huge impact on my life. Sid was an incredible man and I am honoured to have shared time with him. I will never forget Sid, and I will forever remember his ready smile and wit. To Sid: tight lines and plentiful fish - you were very much loved and appreciated.

Uncle Sid was an inspiration to me as I continued my education as an adult. Condolences to Aunt Sheila and cousins. Gwen Harmen (Nee Triffo)

I am a former Beagle student who was lucky to take his World Religion class. 27 years later, he plays a part in who I am today.
