I am honoured to have been part of Bill's family. I always admired his thirst for knowledge, enjoyed his conversation, observations and, on occasion, being led on the dance floor by him. The world has lost one of its more perceptive citizens.
I will miss him.

Cousin Bill was kind, thoughtful and caring. His zest for life, his commitment to exercising and eating well, was an inspiration. I will miss our telephone conversations. He was a very special person and it was a joy to have known him all of these years. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. May your happy memories bring peace and comfort.

We enjoyed living close to Bill. He was an amazing man. He was always grateful for anything you did for him. His knowledge of world events and history was so good to listen to.
we will miss him as our neighbor.
Bill and Fran were a wonderful pair.

From my high school days to present times, as Bruce's friend, I had the opportunity to meet and share dynamic conversation with his father, Bill. Bill had an unceasing interest in life, learning and keeping entirely up-to-date with current affairs and new knowledge. Every conversation was stimulating and inspiring. It was a joy to know him and to observe his great love for Fran and all his family! My sincere condolences.

Uncle Bill was an amazing man. Over the years, he has given me some great advice and I've always enjoyed our conversations. My deepest condolences and respect to the Joiner family.

My condolences to the Joiner family on the loss of a truly remarkable human being.
Your father, grandfather and great grandfather and my late father, Al Kolberg, had a very special friendship.
The friendship began with their jogging at Stanley Park and extended to their wives and blossomed over many decades.
It was always a pleasure to have an engaing conversation or correspondence with Dr Joiner.
May you find comfort in your memories.
