Norm Hawkins was a wonderful teacher, stellar individual and great friend. I worked with him at Adolfo Camarillo High School and remember how caring, patient and dedicated he was to his students. He always had a kind word and encouragement to say to everyone. I am blessed to have worked with him and would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends in his passing.

One of my fond and great memories of growing up in Camarillo was spending time with the Hawkins family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time of loss. I am so glad that I knew Brother Hawkins and what a great man he was and is. Take care,

Norman and Yvonne were some of the first people I met when I was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints. It's rare to meet with people who are SO close to Heavenly Father. I was so thankful for their friendship. I have seen Norman's courage through fighting cancer all these past years and it has helped me through some very difficult times. My memories comes up often as I think about the Camarillo Ward and the wonderful friends there. We mourn now for a pillar in the church. I have been blessed to know Norman and Yvonne and their beautiful family. I'll never forget them - although we live so far from each other - There lives are stamped on my heart. Love and prayers going out to you all.
