On April 29th we said good- bye to a devoted husband, loving father, papa, and great papa after a three year long battle with cancer. Paul will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years Larrilyn, his daughters Jammi Brinton (Sam Brinton), Kammi Edwards (Sean Edwards), Sonia Johnsen (Marc Johnsen), eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Paul grew up in Ojai, where he graduated from Nordhoff in 1955. He went on to serve in the Army, then went on to become an Elecrtician. After 32 years with the Union Paul retired. After retirement Paul kept busy traveling with his wife, walking his beloved dog, and working in his garage. He developed an amazing talent in wood working. Paul is preceded to death by his son Darrell Bangs, four brothers and two sisters. Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Help of Ojai or the Ojai Valley Little League at P.O. Box 34, Oak View CA, 93022 in his honor. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
Please call us if there is anything we can do.Also please let us know of any services.

I worked with Paul at both P&G and later at Oilfield Electric. He was a hell of a nice guy and great to work with.
He helped me get better in my craft as an electrician.I still remember some of the things he taught me. I in turn, have passed those things along to the younger guys. You'll be missed and not forgotten
RIP Brother Paul.

Papa will be truly missed. I have learned so many things from such an amazing man. His was always patient, kind an ever uplifting. He never had a negative thing to say. Even through the last three years of battling he always had a smile and never complained. I am truly blessed to have had such an amazing grandpa. You will forever be in my heart Papa!

It was an honor and privilege to know Paul. He was kind and had a big heart . He will never be forgotten; he left a beautiful legacy - his family. He was blessed and loved and God greeted him with "Job Well Done Paul Bangs."
