Rene moved to Lake Havasu in 2004. My thoughts and prayers to the Hembree family. Rene was such a bundle of life, laughter and compassion to all who were blessed to have known her. I still remember all of us girls on Bellwoods play ground, almost like it was yesterday. Rene taught us girls, we didn't have to stand off to the sidelines and not be a competitor, whether it was in athletics or life... She had fierce strengths. Thank you Rene, for the time shared, things learned, the many laughs growing up and the memories I'll cherish of you. Take care and GB, until we meet again.

There is and always will be only one Rene. Her presence was always known if you were anywhere near her, so effervescent and well, not quiet. The world will be more subdued and lonely without Rene. Bet she is cheering some team or hitting it out of the big park in the sky. Love you Rene, Jean and Ed. Our heartfelt condolences...
