Valorie and I were close friends for 47 years. We worked togehter and shared our both being single mothers. A life's friendship of working like twins, seeing kids grow, going out Saturdays, catching (grabbing) bouquet at Philip's wedding, having new bonds with Bill and Brian, cruise with submarine ride and trivia, mexican train, comforting us after loss, and Billy-burger-beach walks. The only argument we had was "who was the best dancer?"
Valorie was as close as I'll ever get to an angel. You were my life's friend I miss you.

Am saddened and extend to the Morrison Family my prayers for Valorie and to her loving family. To her sons Patrick (with whom I enjoyed a few years of great laughter and music companionship) and to Peter - my sincere heartfelt condolences.

To all of Valorie's family, my sympathy for losing such a loving, vibrant and optimistic lady. She was planning up to the end yet another trip to do what she also loved..seeing another part of the world. Her passing is our loss. Our prayers are with you.

When I came to Port Hueneme, Valorie was one of the first people I met. I was at LAX getting ready to board a plane and she called me up and said, "Hey Pastor, if you want to rent this condo, you'll have to trust me, You'll love it and its right for you!" What do you say to Valorie, but "Yes". She became a precious friend and sister in the Lord, and I could always depend on her for accountability. When Nelda and I got married, she and Cheryl got us this beautiful cotton blanket, which we use to this very day and walk in such fond remembrance. We will miss her greatly as many others will as well, a great model of a virtuous Christian woman. We are praying for Bill and the family. With a thankful heart, Terry and Nelda
