Orlando has great natural talents and soared to the basketball hoop with grace. We are so fortunate to see him display his skills and bring so many memories to the many fans who watched him perform.
July 11, 2012
My prayers to the coaches family. I first met coach Woolridge during my first season as an LA Spark. He was a very energetic and passionate coach. He will always be remembered by me for his desire and will to win. He had a play the size of the dictionary (lol), but that showed how much he invested into the game...Rest Coach, for you will forever be missed.

This is like one of those happy/sad moments. Happy because he is sleeping in the arms of Jesus and sad because we will miss him very much on this side. But the good news is that we will see him again in that great RESSURECTION. Praying and asking God to comfort the family continually. It is well. Orlando is not in anymore pain. So elated thatI had the opportunity to spend time with him before his death as his frind/home girl and Professional Social Worker to let him know that I loved him because God said we should love everyone. He was so special to God.

This is surreal. It seems like just yesterday we met at Baby Guess and started dressing Zach for Laker games.
You all have become part of our family and we love you deeply.

To Pat and the Kids-
Dan & I and Harrison and his wife Lamara offer you our prayers of comfort and peace as you all continue moving forward while holding on to the precious memories of Orlando. It was a blessing to have been a guest in your home. Renaldo, your tribute to your dad was a beautiful musical honor! May our God keep you all in His loving care through Jesus Christ.

To the Woolridge Family:
I met O many years ago at the Grambling basketball camp. I remember him growing about 6 inches over one year and came back the next summer so good that he didn't even play with the other campers! But he was always the same....personable, talented, funny. Always admired his talent, how cool he was and the fact that he still considered me a friend. As my mother passed away during this same week, I will always remember his thru his life and death. Rest easy knowing that he was a great guy to all....and remember that God is a God of all comfort and mercy.
June 17, 2012
I had the pleasure of serving Orlando, and his lovely wife, Pat for the years they spent in Los Angeles, when I ran the Beverly Hills Cheesecake Factory. Orlando was a class act, warm, gracious, and unaffected by celebrity. I was indeed sad to learn of his passing today. To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord. See you in paradise, my friend.
June 15, 2012
Our children, Zach, Renaldo & Tiana, are the best of us. They represent our dreams since high school, a beautiful legacy. R.I.P. Orlando.

I thank God for allowing us to be family. When I first met you, I loved you like a brother. I enjoyed every moment that we spent together and away from each other. I would just think about you and just start smiling. We had so many good times together. I will never forget them. Thank you for everything you did for me. You did not have to do them, but you did them because you loved me, too. I can never forget you, man. You meant the world to me! Uncle and Auntie thank y'all for letting Orlando and me spend time together in our youth, it really created a bond for a life time. I will always love you Big "O" !!

Woolridge Family: May God bless you at this time of loss! I am a Notre Dame classmate of Orlando. He was electrifying as a basketball player at ND! He performed athletic moves and dunks that no one had done before (and rarely since) at ND. He also graduated with a degree in economics which is a difficult discipline to study. He was a great person when i saw him on campus.May he rest in the Peace of Christ!!! Reg Rogers Notre Dame Class of 1981

I was a Sophomore at Notre Dame awaiting the arrival of this highly celebrated high school basketball player from Orlando Florida. Wow! this was a coincidence to me, because I grew up in Orlando Florida. Once this basketball Player arrived on campus, I discovered that his name was Orlando, and he was from Mansfield Louisiana. However, we still manage to become friends and share good times that I will cherish forever. Take Care my friend, now you're at peace. No more sorrow, pain, sickness, sadness, depression, dominions, bondage or strongholds. "My God keep you in his Holy Embrace". Yours in Christ

I am at a high school game for one of my sons this evening, O. He developed a love for the game that was colored by my stories of Fisher Hall and pick up games at The Rock.
