Kay, I'm so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

I remember Mr. Chavez fondly. He was Principal for both of my sons who attended Montara Elementary in the late 1970's. He must have still been there when my grandson's also attended Montara. I enjoyed reading that he was able to live a full life after retiring. My thoughts go out to his family.

My favorite thing about Montara was having such a great, caring, encouraging Principal like Mr. Chavez. He helped foster a love of reading in me that I will always cherish and remember. As an educator he was one of the few teachers that will continue to be talked about and held in high regards in his students memories. Prayers to his family and friends who had received the influence of his great presence. God be with you Mr. Chavez.

Kaye, I am so sorry for your loss. Phil was such a special person to everyone who knew him. I know during the time I spent training you two at the(Barstow Mall Gym), you both became forever special friends to me. I hope and pray that you and your family will be comforted by the memories of this precious man.

With Love,

Bernice
