Shocked to learn of Daniel's death and I am very sorry I can't be with those of you on Thursday who are mourning his tragic death.
Daniel was a most valued member of the Patea- Waverley farming fraternity. I was privileged to have him attend and solve many farm engineering problems and through this interaction slowly began to see what a remarkable man he was. He was as fine a young man that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and was a great example to all those of his age and demanded respect through is deeds from all those older than he.
My sincerest sympathies to Gabby, all his related family and to John and Sue Hunger. He will be missed by us all.

THOMPSON, Daniel Roy (Munter). On September 2, 2018 taken tragically as a result of an accident. Loved partner and best friend of Gabby. Loved son in law of Christian and Christine, and brother in law to Eleanor and Keegan. He will be sadly missed by the Hogan and Beattie families.
