Deepest sympathy to you all, remembering the happy times we shared with Des and Frances at our Genealogy meetings and the Christmas occasions. Maybe the happiest memory is your surprise Birthday Party , as you came in, with a blindfold on, that was a wonderful time together. Fond greetings from Jean and Hugh McKinstry, Marton .

A warm and generous man with a great sense of humor who lit up the room at our NZSG LNI Regional meetings. You will now be able to find where you left your glasses so many years ago.
My sincerest condolences to Fran and all his family.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. RIP Des.
