The Payne Family & Friends are in my prayers this week. As the daughter of a firefighter, I can say that we always live in fear of something like this happening. I am so terribly sorry that this happened to your Dad (and son, brother, friend). My heart breaks for all of you. Thank you Firefighter Payne for your sacrifice.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Payne family, friends and brother firefighters:

Words can not express the collective sorrow and grief felt for the tragic loss of Warren. Please know that there are thousands who grieve with you and honor Warren’s heroism and sacrifice. Although I know none of you, as the grandson of a retired firefighter and son and brother of current firefighters in New Bedford, MA, Warren’s heroism and ultimate sacrifice hit close to home, as every firefighter family lives with the fear that is now your grief and mourning.

We are all forever grateful for Warren’s bravery and dedicated service. A hero is a firefighter who runs into a burning building, never thinking of himself. Warren Payne is a hero and we will forever honor his memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Payne Family my thoughts and prays go out to you. As a Black mother of a Firefighter in Ayer. I know what the brotherhood really means and how proud our sons are about serving there
COMMUNITY. God Bless your FAMILY

Dear Jeremy & Jonathan,
My name is Heather and I am law student in Boston. I just had the privilege of watching your father's beautiful funeral service on TV after following the tragic story of his untimely death. It was an honor to get a glimpse into the life of such an incredible man. What he gave for that greater love will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Your father makes me want to be a better person. I just thought that you should know that. I hope the pride you must feel for your Dad helps in some small way to ease the pain of this time.
God Bless you. With love and gratitude to both Mr. Payne and Mr. Cahill always,
Heather Vallarelli

As I watched Paul Cahill's funeral yesterday, I wondered how I could watch Warren's today. My God, I did not know these guys, but I was so sad.

There are certainly no words I can offer that can comfort you, except. I am praying for you and Warren.

What does stick in my mind is what we consider to be today's hero's. It may be the Greatest Baseball Player or the Greatest Basketball Player, but do we ever stop to thing of the local Firefighter? It must be wonderful to go out and play the game that you love and have people cheering you on, but what about the fires that occur every night, where countless firefighters go, with no recognigtion at all? My God, we do have our priorities backwards. The FF's are the hero's. The others, yeah, they are good, but they are not Great! To Warren and Paul, to their families, to the BFD, to all FF's.....GOD BLESS YOU.

It must be hard to say good-bye to some one who meant so much, but just remember that all of your (son, dad, brother & friend )best qualities live on in you for years to come. May god bless the family now and always.

With Sympathy

I did not know Mr.Payne, being a fire fighter is a lot of love. I thank God for the life of Mr. Payne. But I know God loved him more than we could ever love him. Mr Payne is now in the loving arms of the master his creator. It is a wonderful thing to meet Jesus face to face. and to meet all the saints of God. What a glorious day.You will see your love one again.
