Hon. Alexander Bolling Bell (Age 95)
On Friday, March 24, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Rita Renzi Bell; loving father of Peter Bell, Mary Rita (Mike) Winpisinger, and Angela (Richard) Pachucki; grandfather of Christopher, Michael (Joy), Andrew, and Laura Pachucki, Christy (Jesse) Lindeman, and Michael and Julie Winpisinger; brother of the late Avis Aquilino and George Bell; great-grandfather of Rita Alexandra and Theodore David Lindeman, Genevieve Bell Pachucki, Audrey Gail, Bolling Michael and expected great-grandchild Pachucki. He was a proud life member of United Association Plumbers' Local Union No. 5, and a three-term member of the Maryland State Legislature. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Wednesday, March 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Alex was a wonderful, kind and gentle man...also quick witted - with a marvelous sense of humor. Everyone loved to hear him sing 'his' songs...'Redhead' and 'On The Way to Cape May' - just to name a couple of my favorites. He was really a remarkable man...a life very well-lived, may he Rest In Peace! My sincere condolences to his family.

So sad to learn of Alex's passing, what a true friend, Brother, & mentor. He took me under his wing when I was @ George Meany Center & then I was so proud when he graduated. He, Rita & yourself are the most gracious, kindest people I have known. May he rest in peace.

Your power brought us Alex, Your providence guided his life to touch ours, and by Your command he returns to you. Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end.
