Alice Jane Wiegand (Age 82)
On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of Martin Wiegand; loving mother of Martin (Nancy) Wiegand, III, Chandler (the late Margie) Wiegand and the late Madison Tripp Wiegand. Grandmother of Martin Tripp, Wagner Alfred, Chandler, Jr. and Darby Jane Wiegand. Sister of the late Ruth and Alfred Jr. Also survived by nieces, Constance, Ruth and Allison. Memorial Service at St. Columba''s Episcopal Church, 4201 Albemarle Street N.W., Washington, DC 20015 on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Weekend Meals on Wheels, c/o St. Columba''s Church. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I was so shocked and sorry to hear of Janie's passing. We chatted each Sunday that she, Martin and I attended service at the Cathedral. She was a very lovely lady and I was truly sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. I will miss that "Sparkle."
