RIP Aunt Al
Tell dad, I am a great grandmother now when you see him. We love you, but God loved you best.

Aunt Allie
Today would have been your 99th year with us.
I feel you are still with us.
Your name was mentioned just yesterday.
A friend mentioned how much your brother, Arthur, talked about you. She never met you but felt the pride he shared of your accomplishments.
You are truly missed.

Aunt Allie,

Frank and I will miss all the fun times we had with you, your quick wit and wisdom. You were a trailblazer and role model for so many African-Americans who followed you into the Army and the Air Force. You always had top scores when you applied numerous times for officer candidates school in the Air Force. They had all kinds of excuses for not letting you in. So you went on to get your Ph.D. and taught school 23 years after you retired in 1973. You showed us when doors are closed to you, just wait on God to open another one and walk through unafraid. Heaven is now home to one of our family heroes. Love always- Frank & Karen

I never had the pleasure to meet Dr. Harshaw, but after reading her obituary wished I had. I know she blazed many trails during her life for women and deserves our gratitude. Goodspeed Dr. Harshaw.
