ANN SHERIDAN Obituary
ANN POTOSKY SHERIDAN (Age 67)
On Friday, November 18, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved daughter of the late Melvin and the late Geraldine Potosky; loving mother of Kathleen Ann Sheridan and Nathaniel Lee Sheridan; devoted grandmother of Magayon Rose Sheridan; cherished sister of Melvin Potosky, Jr., Alice Potosky, Mary Albert, Bryant Potosky and Arnie Potosky. Also survived by five nieces and one nephew. Ann graduated from the University of Maryland, had a long successful career as a Medical Technician and retired from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church, Veirs Mill and Claridge Roads, Wheaton, MD on Friday, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I just learned of Ann's passing and feel such sorrow for all of you, her family. Ann started college at Wagner, Staten Island, NY. I was her neighbor across the hall in the dorm. She taught us northerners that soda was called "pop" and you didn't put curlers in your hair, you "rolled up your hair"! No one could do a Smokey Robinson and the Miracles lip sync like Ann could...with a deodorant can for a microphone! She was such a sweet person and I have no doubt that she raised wonderful children. We lost touch after sending Christmas cards back and forth for a few years. I am sure you miss her very much. Please accept my heartfelt condolences of your loss.
