Dear Marmy,
I want to thank you for being the most wonderful Mother I could ever have hoped for and for teaching me the following:
How to be a good wife. To always treat my husband with love and respect and to always remember to laugh. This is what I saw in you and Dad every day of my life. Your marriage could serve as the perfect example of how two people should live as husband and wife.
How to be a good mother. To always be kind, loving, caring, and patient. To remember that each child is different, which is what makes each one special. And, to be thankful every day for them; they are my blessings!
How to be a good person. Not just to be kind to others, whether they be family, friend, or stranger, but above all else, to be tolerant and respectful of everyone in this world.
Finally, you gave me one very special gift among the many. You gave me the gift of honesty. Not only did you teach me that honesty really is the best policy, but you were always honest with me . . . even when you knew I might not want to hear it. I truly believe that if each of us has one person in our life who will be honest with us, they will be our anchor, they will keep us walking down the middle of the road, and bring us back to the road if we wander off into the trees.
Thank you for loving me and teaching me every day of my life; for having faith in me and for being my biggest fan! I miss you much, but am grateful for the many years I had you.
I Love You,
Anne

Anne,Jane and families. I am so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It was great knowing both your father and mother - such wonderful, warm, loving folks and the two of my favorite students. It is obvious you came from a great set of parents and it seems just as obvious that you have continued to pass this on to your own children. I'm sorry I could not make it to the viewing or mass, but please know your mom and dad are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Rich Gervasoni

Dear Nana,
Often times as I walk through the streets of New York I think on all the stories you've told me of your trips here. Whether it was to see a broadway show, sample the food or just have an adventure - it inspires me to lead the fullest life I can, and to enjoy every moment. When I think of the years PopPop spent here, I think of all the struggle, all the opportunities he seized and all of his determination to make his own success. It reminds me to never give up on myself, especially when times are at their darkest. Many times I have stopped on a corner, simply to gaze up at the buildings as the rest of New York floods past me -
always in a hurry to get to where they're going. I've wondered if perhaps either of you had ever stopped on that same corner and looked up at those same buildings; and it is especially in those moments that I feel your presence with me. I miss you and love you with all my heart. Thank you for teaching me so many things about life, love and friendship. Thank you for consistently encouraging me to pursue my dreams, and for always reminding me to - above all else - have a happy heart.
Although I will truly miss hearing your laughter and your voice, and feeling your embrace, I feel so blessed to know that any time I feel saddened by the loss of you, all I need to do is look up to the buildings and the sky, feel your spirit with me, and my heart will be happy again.
All my love,
Anj

My dearest Nana,
I am so honoured to come from such a line of strong women. The guidance you have shown to my mother and aunt, and which has been in turn passed on to myself and siblings, is a perfect example of what it means to be a full individual in love with life. Through all the stories and experiences in your life I have found joy and inspiration. Through all our conversations, positive reflection. I promise I will always remember that "it takes all kinds of people to make our world" and that "life can be beautiful, it's what you make of it"!
I'll look for you in my mother's smile, my siblings' friendship, and all of their love.
All my love always,
Kat-a-leenie

My beloved Nana,
You have always had and always will have an everlasting impact on me. I've only ever had positive interactions and conversations with you that left me feeling the true power of Love. From your incredible sense of humor, to your fantastic wit, and your total compassion, you have taught me to not take life too seriously and to enjoy the small things. Though we never made it to Amsterdam together, I take comfort in the fact that your Love will always be with me and I am grateful to have been your grandson.
Words cannot express how true and complete an individual you are. Thank you for everything.
Love Always,
Stephen

Dearest Mom and Aunt Nellie,
I wish more than anything that I could be there with you at this time, but know that while our family is a little smaller now, it is that much stronger. I will always remember Nana through you and the incredible concept of family she and Pop-Pop gave to us. Thank you for instilling that in us. I know they are happy and together now, just as we are happy and together in hearts here.
All my love always,
Lizzie
