On Thursday, September 15, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. Rode. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Graveside service and interment at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Winchester, VA on Wednesday, September 21, at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Though distance kept us from spending much time together, I will always remember his kindness, wisdom, and generous loving nature. When I think of him I remember only good things. Rest In Peace, beloved uncle, we cherish your memory.

The last time we saw Uncle Art we could tell he missed Aunt Mary so much. I am sure they are having a glorious reunion. I always thought of them as the bride and groom on the wedding cake because they loved each other so much.
