BARBARA HAYES FEGAN "Bunny"  
Barbara Hayes Fegan, 82, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 28, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Fegan was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Chevy Chase, MD. She attended Blessed Sacrament School, Georgetown Visitation Convent and the University of Maryland. She later moved to North Bethesda, MD., where she sang in two choirs and was a cantor at Holy Cross Church. She was also a member of The Rockville Community Chorus and The Rockville Singers. She occasionally sang for the residents at Carriage Hill Home in Bethesda, and was a guest reader for the kindergarten class at Holy Cross School. Mrs. Fegan was a co-founder of the Holy Cross Lunch Bunch, and had been a member of the former Holy Cross Players Theater Group, as well as a school volunteer. Survivors include her husband, James of 59 years; three daughters, Sandra Falatko, Linda Spiker and Sharon Giuliani; two sons, James G. Fegan, Jr. and Michael C. Fegan; 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Charles David Hayes and one sister, Joan Hayes Custalow. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD, on Monday, August 1, beginning at 9:30 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
