CATHERINE CECELIA RODRIGUEZ (Age 93)
On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, of Canton, GA, formerly of Langley Park, MD. Beloved wife of the late Ludwig G. Rodriguez; mother of Raymond Rodriguez, Donald Rodriguez, Cecelia Rodriguez Ball, Gerard Rodriguez, and the late Joseph Rodriguez; sister of Eileen Hutchison and the late Bill Sullivan, Bud Sullivan, and Jack Sullivan; grandmother of Nicholas, Christine, Kellie, Jessica, Heather, Rachel, Derek, Drew, Robert, and the late Natalie Rodriguez; great-grandmother of Christian, Joseph, Alexis, Nate, Jackson, and Mia. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, June 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Camillus Church, 1600 St. Camillus Dr., Silver Spring, MD 20903, Friday, June 23, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. We did not know Ms. Catherine, but are good friends of both Don and Debbie Rodriquez, and have heard many stories about "Mom". Aunt Catherine was such a people person, so much fun to talk with and always enjoyed our visits. I was always amazed at her memory of all the family members names. Whenever I would call her she would go down the list and ask how each were doing. I enjoyed visiting her and Uncle Boobin at their lovely home in Canton Georgia. I didnt know Ms. Catherine Rodriguez, but I knew her son, Don, and his wife, Deb Rodriguez. We met at Grace Baptist Church and have been friends of theirs for so long now. Don has been a joy to know and be friends with. On hearing of the passing of his Mom, I had to express my condolences and well wishes.

Catherine was like a second mother to me. She has been in my life since I was three or four years. I have so many special memories of staying with her and my big brother, Boobin and their kids when they lived in Calvert Homes. Her passing leaves a big empty space in my heart. I loved her very much. "Little Catherine"
