I remember driving Charlie to Patrick Airforce Base in Florida in 1972 or 73. I first knew Charlie in high school when we hung out with Bob Dawson and Bill McIlroy. As I remember Charlie made a "studio quality" tape deck that was used to record various local groups and became the start of Bias Recording Company. For sure Charlie was an absolute genius but he was quiet and modest! I do regret not keeping up with Charlie through the years but it looks like he lived a great life worthy of his great character. My heartfelt sympathy to Nancy and all of Charley's family.

I will miss you Charlie. I will always remember your wedding day, my first as a young child. I was totally amazed, a storybook wedding 41 years ago. You were such a good person, always there for Nancy, the children and family. You were always kind, thoughtful and a special soul. I am happy to have known you and only wish my family and I were closer to see you more. You and every Muir is in my thoughts and my heart. Charlie left so many memories, and he will always be with us.

I taught Charlie where to put commas and where to take them out. What he taught me was so so much more. He was a friend that was always there when you needed him. A touchstone in my life. And we will all be a little lost for a while until he settles down and becomes our best guardian angel. Because he will.
