Christine was a moonlighter in the SICU where I work. (VAMC) She was truly a loving, gifted young lady and my heart aches that I did not know she had passed until I found her obituary on line. Please know that she was loved by more people than you will ever know, and her memory lives with us and the patients she helped care for. Like a shooting star, she was a very brief, but very bright light in my life.

There is nothing like backpacking with someone to get to know a person's basic personality. I led Christine's orientation backpacking trip when she started medical school. Her excellent qualities shone, and I have always had fond memories of her on that trip.

My deepest condolences to Christine's husband, family and friends. Christine and I attended elementary school together and I had not seen her since our seventh grade year. She always was the brightest one in class and it's no surprise to see she went on to accomplish such great things in her life. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Christine, I didn't know you well, but I know that you touched many, many lives and this world is so much better for having had you in it. Godspeed, shipmate.

My thoughts and prayers are with Cristine's husband and family. I looked up to Christine as a role model during my time at Visitation and in the years to follow. All who knew her are blessed to have been touched by her wonderful spirit.

As I watch Christine's beautiful and happy expression on her wedding gown, the years when she was my daughter's classmate at Visitation come clearly to my mind. What a great loss not only to her loved ones but also to the many people, young and old, whose lives she surely touched in a very special way as she has mine. She had many talents, bright personality, joyful spirit, and humbleness! A wonderful legacy from such a young soul! My sincere condolences to her husband and her family.
