I was both stunned and deeply saddened to hear of Chris's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as I am 100% positive his friendly attitude, caring personality, loyal devotion, and spirited determination that I knew from our days at Fairport High School followed him throughout his life in all that he did. May God grant you all peace and grace at this time of deep sorrow and in the days, months, and year ahead. #OnceARaiderAlwaysARaider

Cathy - you and I recently had a conversation about the losses of our husbands and I've just learned about the passing of your son. I can only imagine the devastation you, his wife, children and friends are feeling. To say I'm sorry seems so insignificant but I am truly heartbroken for you. I wish there was something I could do as this just seems too much to bear. I'm praying for strength for you and for all those who loved him. Please, please feel free to contact me when you get back home. I offer any support you will need.

Reading the post from others shows that Chris made an impact wherever he was. I am so sorry for the loss to Remington family and all the communities he was a part of. But so grateful for his involvement in the Holy Child community. He coached and encouraged all the girls and had a special bond with Aileen - they shared a similar sense of humor :). He always made the all the girls feel involved and important and valued. Prayers for your family.

After one of our school breaks my freshman year I boarded a crowded Amtrak train to head from Philadelphia back to Georgetown; it was crowded and I was walking the aisles trying to find a seat. I get into a car and hear someone say "are you a Hoya?" - and look over and there's Chris Remington, in one of the four-person seats at the end of the car, offering me the seat next to him, already moving his bag (I had my trusty GU sweatshirt on). He didn't know me but I knew of him: star of the lacrosse team, someone athletes at McDonough all spoke of in awe. He was so kind. Asked me how my freshman year was, gave me tips on how to be a good student athlete, tips on which classes to take/avoid, etc. After that if I came across him on campus he would always wave and smile that huge smile. One of those encounters that he probably had all the time but stood out for me. He was kind, approachable, and yet also GREAT. I will always remember that about him.
Sending love, love and more love to those who loved Chris.

I am finding it nearly impossible to express our thoughts& feelings about Chris. I have spent a few hours trying to compose something that could capture how I felt with none of it making sense. Then decided to list a few of the many memories that Wendy & I shared during his life.
1. Enjoying his Fairport days with football and lacrosse where he received county wide honors in both sports.
2. Surprising him and showing up near at his final Georgetown lacrosse game against Loyola, MD - once again a hero on and off the field.
3. Asked to read a prayer at their wedding; a memory & honor no one could ever forget.
4.Chris & Madeline visiting & having dinner with us on a recent trip to Syracuse; lots of laughs & fun.
Amy, Madeline, Connor & Cole, Cathy & brother Mike and his family please ALWAYS REMEMBER how much Chris was loved by so many and he will NEVER be forgotten.
All our love,Wendy & Jim Barr

I was saddened to hear about Chris. For years, I got to cover Chris in practice as he played Attack and I played Defense. Every day was filled with all sorts of laughs, or requests by me for him to "slow down" or "stop making me look bad" or "can I at least get one ground ball?" We had so much fun on/off the field and always enjoyed running into him over the years. Even a few years back, knowing I lived in Dallas, he made an effort to come to the house and meet my family. Chris was an awesome kid growing up and flourished even more as an adult, a pretty special guy. Sending prayers to all the Remington's during this difficult time. God Bless you Chris.

I cannot begin to know what pain you are all feeling.I only know how heavy my heart is and how badly it hurts. Though we do not get to see the family that often, know that you are all loved so much and I would personaly sacrifice anything for this not to have happened to such a wonderful husband-father-son- brother-uncle and nephew. He has raised you up Chris-fly high and soar like an eagle. Enjoy your reunion with your Dad

Heartbreaking. There were a lot of great lacrosse players in Fairport back in the day. But, there was only one Chris Remington. I remember when I was in 6th grade at Hobart Lacrosse camp, and he let me play catch with HIS lacrosse stick for a few minutes, I was starstruck. He was our lacrosse royalty! . And then on to Georgetown and still made time to work out with us High School kids a few years behind him. Just in doing that he was signaling all of the opportunities that were out there! He was the ultimate competitor and leader. I'm heartbroken and can't imagine what his family must be feeling. Sports links all of us, and I hope you can have a tiny bit of comfort knowing how many people Chris impacted. My family is so sorry for your loss!

For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
