Beloved husband of Benny Capole; beloved father of Benilda McAuliffe, Clarinda Capole-Giddings, and Dorinda Capole; beloved father-in-law of Sean McAuliffe, William Giddings, Jr., and InBum Chung; beloved grandfather of Jeremy, Jesse, Hailey, and Isabella. Also survived by his niece, Cholly Logan. My father was the most loving, giving, caring, kind, warm, gentle and selfless person. His family was his life. He lived to make us happy, and that's exactly what he did. We had to fight him to let us do anything for him. He was incredibly smart and wise and funny. He was a great listener. He was strong. I was never afraid of anything when he was with me. His heart was so big, I thought he would live forever. I keep thinking he's going to walk into the room. There was never any doubt in my mind that he would make a full recovery from the surgery and feel better and stronger than before. But now, we're having to face the painful reality that he was mortal and our time with him was limited and I hate it. My heart aches from missing him. I miss his big, beautiful smile that brightened up our world. I miss his big warm hugs. He was a great man...one of a kind...my rock, my hero, my heart. As much as it hurts, I am so grateful and feel so blessed to have had the best father I could ever have imagined.

I truly believe that if I have a fraction of an ounce of the goodness he had, we'll end up in the same place and I will be with him again. Until then, I will miss him with all my heart.

Dad, I love you with every fiber of my being. I am so grateful to you for all you've done for us and all you've given us. I miss you.
