CLAIRE E. FALATKO (Age 88)
On Thursday, April 17, 2014 of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife for 59 years of Francis "Frank" Falatko; mother of Francis, Jr. "Skip" (Flo), Bill (Sandy) and Dave (Julie); sister of Eleanor Endersbee, Ruth Francis and the late Jane Gridley. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Claire was a long-time parishioner at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Bethesda, where she was active in the religious education program and the Sodality. Claire was also involved with the Literacy Council of Montgomery County and Bethesda Quilters. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Resurrection at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, April 24 from 10 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Falatko's death. I used to call her Aunt Claire. She and her husband (she called him "Frankie, baby") were great friends with my parents, Vivi and Dave Allen. They played bridge together with other couples including the Lyons, the Kleckers, and the O'Briens, for years. It was a big social event to have everyone come over to our house. Aunt Claire was an awesome cook and hostess with such a sweet disposition. We had a ball on our car trip to Canada and New York, where she showed us her hometown. I even found a Justina Street and was so excited! I am glad she is with my father, Deacon Dave, in a better place. I will miss her so much. Uncle Frank, Skip and family - the Allen family send their love, prayers, and condolences.
