Dr. CLARENCE F. SCHATZ, JR. (Age 90)
On Thursday, September 17, 2015, of North Bethesda, MD. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Price Schatz. He practiced dentistry in Washington, DC for 58½ years. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament,, Western Ave.at Quesada St., NW, Washington, on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Mrs. Schatz, I think and hope you know that Dr Schatz and you were always like family to Lynn and me. You made going to the dentist more like a joyful visit with beloved relatives than a nerve-wracking medical appointment. Both of you will live on in our happy memories for as long as Lynn and I are still breathing.

Nancy, sorry to hear about Dr. Schatz passing. Our mother passed on September 11. 2015. She was ready to go. I remember going to the denist right after school and get the toys he gave out.

Nancy, I think I was the only kid I knew who liked to go to the dentist thanks to you and Dr. Schatz. I always felt like family when I was there. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I asked for prayers to said at church.

Hi Nancy - My favorite memories of Buddy and you are our family reunions that I always look forward to each year to see everybody..also memories of Buddy fixing my teeth when I was a kid & his trying to make me laugh when I was scared. One memory that will forever stay with me is how you gave up your cigar boxes to create a specail box and gift of treasuers for each of your neices and nephews one Christmas, there were so many other positives, your was a life well lived!
