CRAIG DOUGLAS McHUGH (Age 50)
On Friday, June 9, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved son of John and Nancy McHugh; brother of Megan (Robert) O'Rourke and Kristin (Matthew) O'Connell; uncle of Shannon, Bridget, Kyle and Dylan O'Rourke, Shane and Erin O'Connell. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Wednesday, June 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD, on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Private interment at a later date will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Dear John and Nancy and family,
I was away last week, with my Fangmeyer siblings and families. On June 14, flag day, I noted that it was our Parkland Pool boss's b-day, which started us remembering our best summer job ever!
I returned home yesterday and saw the obituary from last week. Thank you John and Nancy for sharing your family with us at the pool. Thank you for hiring some of the wrestlers as lifeguards. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just found out. So sorry to hear about Craig. I will always remember his smile. Coach Mchugh and Nancy showed me and my wife how to care and love a disabled adult. Talks so much John and Nancy and Craig had a great loving life!!!

Meg will miss her dearest friend, Craig. Many happy memories of school days, dances, sweet telephone calls, "SPRED" class at St. Jane's, pizza parties with friends at Ben's house, and many more. Meg and her family thank you for sharing Craig with us all. Craig was a true friend and gentle heart.
