DAVID M. BOONE (Age 58)
On Saturday, September 26, 2015, of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of Irene Boone; father of Erik (Karen) Boone, Amanda (Paul) Flood, Morgan "Freddie" (Shaun) Aschenbach; grandfather of Aiden and Mackenzie Boone, Jack Aschenbach and Olivia Flood; son of French D. Boone and the late Thea ""Tillie"" Boone; brother of Dennis Boone, Darryl Boone and Deborah (Joel) Boone-Meisel, Troy Boone and Tara Boone. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will held at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20902, on Thursday, October 1 from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's name to Thoracic Cancer Research Fund, C/o Martin J. Edelman, Room N9E08, 22 S. I miss the smile and the fun! He was a fun person and good times rolled at Boone and Sons on Conn. Avenue. David would not like COVID and all its restrictions. I simply miss that great smile and the great candy jar always filled. I think of David everytime I wear my diamonds.

David was the funniest and kindest guy I will ever know. I still hear his laugh. His death hurt my heart deeply. He was a good father, son, cousin and friend. The world and my world would be a much better place would David Boone still be in it.

Today as I have done for many years called to wish David Merry Christmas to be told that he had passed. I met David in 1978. I would stand at the store window & dream of owning some of wonderful selections displayed. He always had time for a hello. In December 1989 I shared with him a engagement & told him the kind of ring I would like to have. A couple of months later he attended a trust auction& purchased a ring-called me to come & review. He informed me it may have to sized but when I tried it on-perfect fit. I've worn it with great pride since. It is definitely one of a kind - like David! (The Victorian Era) I'm very saddened to know he is gone but still smiling in my heart for the memories he allowed me to be a part of his life.

The entire Bellosi family is devastated by the loss of Dave! We were so saddened to just find out and our hearts go out to each one of you! He meant so much to us all and was apart of so many big memories! My grandfather Marco Sr. started the tradition along with my mother Gracy and aunt Kim who all had long wonderful relationships with Dave and then it was passed to us children! Over 25 years! Dave was one of the most down to earth, caring men we ever came across! Visiting and talking with him at the store was always something we got caught up doing for hours! Introducing my now husband to him and them designing my ring is something Jason and I will always treasure! May you all carry on his wonderful ways and you'll always be apart of our lives! May you find joy and peace in his memory and please know your all in our prayers!

I am heart broken and devastated to just have learned of our losing David. He was one of the most genuine, honest, generous, engaging, and just plain funny man I've ever known. David was just a teenager when I started going to Boone's in the early '70's so I feel like I watched him grow up. As with the entire Boone family, David was a great friend and I will miss him terribly.

It is very sad that he is gone. I am a client of the store and lucky to have known him. He was charming and sweet and honest. David did not enter a room he filled it. The funniest guy I have ever met, bar none. What I remember is his laugh and marvelous sense of humor. I remember him wearing a suit with Chuck Taylors. I remember Thanksgivings at Aunt Tillie's. What I remember is how he could hit a golf ball and softball. What I remember is his kindness and humility. What I remember is his courage in the face of long odds. David Boone was one of the good guys in this world. I miss him deeply.

I'm So Sorry to hear of David passing. My daughter was in the hospital in Philadelphia, and just happen to call the Jewelry Store on Connecticut Ave., and was told of passing. I met David a a function years ago, and just connected with him actually last year..I am the young lady that made his crystallized Baseball & Bat, and Crystallized a wine bottle for his sons Erik's wedding. David was so kind, and he will surely be missed..once again I'm So Deeply Sad and Sorry. I will be lifting your Family up in Prayer!

While in the US I made it a point to drop by and say hello to David who always had a cheerful word of greetings. Very much regret it won't happen any more. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the entire Boone family. I met David in the late 70's early 80's, when my Mom, Victoria Aed, worked at Baths Etc in the Chevy Chase Building when Boone's was next door. My Mom passed away on 8-15-15 at the age of 95. Whenever we would pass by your store she would always ask/wonder how everyone was. The Boone family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember when I first met David. I was friends with Erik growing up, went to same grade school and high school 2 years apart. I was riding my bike on our street, fell over after saying hi to Erik, and David was there to help me and pick me back up. Not soon after did he become one of my dad's best friends. I regret being able to be at the funeral to celebrate his life due to a pre-deployment mobilization, but I will always remember him and his name for me "Schlappy."

I have been a customer of Boone and Sons simply because David kept me coming back! I worked downtown until 2008 and lunch break many times meant a trip to Boone and Sons! David was sooo much fun and yes his charisma kept us going back to Boone and Son. I was at the funeral today and was not surprised to see a packed church! David was a living, breathing happy face, and he never failed to make the most solemn or boring event bearable, because of all that positive energy. He was always full of love and laughs, and it was a pleasure to be in his company. No pretenses, very real, and pure joy. He was comfortable in his own skin, and it showed. I will miss him.

I didn't know David well. My family owns Tiny Jewel Box just up the street from Boone and Sons on Connecticut Avenue. One time a drunk driver ran his car through our store causing severe damage. One of the first calls I recieved was from David offering both his sympathy and assistance. He even offered the use of his place of business if we needed to have a meeting or anything...I'll never forget this kind act that says so much about the character of David Boone. My condolences to the entire Boone family and all of David's friends.

Condolences to David's family. Words cannot adequately express our feelings. David touched our family through 30 years of friendship. We were introduced to David by my cousin, a friend of David's father. David helped me select an engagement ring, and then my wife (then fiancé) and I select wedding rings. It was one of our family's special stories. David and I already had my wife's wedding ring, but it was to be a surprise. So, he guided my wife through a very thoughtful selection process, all the while knowing it was just a ruse to keep her from learning of the surprise. David and I almost gave it up because we started giggling, but we pulled it off. We've had lots of laughs about that day over the last 30 years. Close in age, we were sort of in the same stages of life and shared our experiences: children, new homes, more children, home renovations, aging parents and many other things along this journey of life. We will always have a special place in our hearts for David, and look forward to sharing laughs in the future when we catch up with him again.
