DENNIS CONNORS Obituary
DENNIS MICHAEL CONNORS (Age 66)
Passed away peacefully on October 18, 2017. He joins his loving parents, John A. and Elizabeth (Betty) Connors, and his brother, Jeffrey. He is survived by his devoted wife Patricia Cribben Connors, by his sister Carol Pitts, and his brother Kevin Connors, plus a host of relatives and friends. He was indomitable, fearless, and funny. Among his many accomplishments was his winning of the most medals at the first Special Olympics. Dennis loved travel and played music, both of which he enjoyed until his final illness. Visitation and a service will be held on Friday, October 27 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15663 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD, 20906. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joseph P. Kennedy Institute of Catholic Charities in Washington, DC.

Dennis was a hero to me and my husband. He was always upbeat, full of joy, indomitable spirit and he loved to travel as much as we do. We were in the Diabetes Support Group and had the privilege to know him for about the last five years. He knew everyone's names, greeted all of us as best friends (he was correct about that!), and told us about his active life. I loved hearing about his trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and other places. I was impressed by his work with karate. What a sublime human being. We will miss him till the end of our days.

Dennis was a wonderful friend for almost 60 years. Dennis always had a smile and a positive spirit. His continuing education achievements, his jamming with various local bands, and his active interest in karate are all impressive. He also loved his vacation trips with his wife, Pat. He lived a good life and achieved a great deal for which he could be very proud.
I will miss Dennis greatly, but he will remain a powerful role model for me and a source of inspiration when I reach for my goals.
