DIKRANOUHI CHAKARIAN (Age 90) "Dora" or "Dickie"
On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, of Falls Church, VA. Beloved wife of the late Robert Chakarian; mother of Vivian Chakarian, Janet (Yves Renouf) Chakarian, and Grace (Thomas) Paltrineri; grandmother of Raffi Teperdjian, David and Ani Bournazian, Christopher and Julia Paltrineri, Chloe, Audrey and Peter Renouf; sister of Yefkine Karian and the late Hasmig Ozutucuyan. Relatives and friends may call at Soorp Khatch Armenian Apostolic Church, 4906 Flint Drive, Bethesda, MD 20816, Saturday, May 30, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. where Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass. the following week. Thank you for your kindnesses to me Mrs. Chakarian. You taught me to cook Armenian foods and I moved on from there! I'm still clumsy, but I now grow herbs and will try to cook just about anything. I loved your kitchen when people were visiting (always happy)and I thank you for letting me into your home. I know you are somewhere so much happier than here, but I know you'll keep Grace and your other daughters close by forever.

To you all.....Dickie was such a special person to us all, and her kind, caring ways will remain forever in our hearts. Please know that our thoughts are with you. We each have memories of special times together from the "good ol' days".....those days will always remain in our Memory Books as time marches on. We shall miss our good friend.....hugs to you all!
